The power of local nature. Kruut brings the knowledge of past generations back into everyday life. Kruut stands for a step back to nutrient-rich nature and the knowledge of how to use it. Because until now, wild plants have tended to lead a shadowy existence. We trample them underfoot and barely notice their healing properties when we come across them. In the worst case, we destroy nettles and the like with pesticides and cut the turf with garden shears. Unfortunately, knowledge about the nutrient content of native flora and fauna has increasingly disappeared in recent decades.

“Dat ole Kruut mutt rut” - the founders of Kruut were sent out into the garden by their grandfather in their childhood with this German saying. Not to simply weed the weeds - no, to use them. Daisies were put on sandwiches, nettles were cooked like spinach, ribwort plantain was used as a substitute for patches.

Where is this knowledge today, you ask? Why don't we use the powerful nature on our doorstep? Kruut brings powerful wild herbs back into our modern everyday lives. The recipes are based on thousands of years of plant knowledge. Wild herbs have never been cultivated and are therefore particularly robust, nutritious and tasty.
