UV FILTER SYSTEM
The core of this sunscreen is a carefully formulated combination of modern, synthetic UV filters – supplemented by the innovative ROKA Smart UV, a photoadaptive UV absorber that activates in natural light, providing reliable UVA protection for over 8 hours.
The synthetic filters used are "clean" filters: they were specifically developed to be free of hormone-disrupting substances and environmentally harmful ingredients – while also being highly effective and very well tolerated by the skin. Instead of reflecting UV rays, they absorb them and convert them into harmless heat.
- Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate protects against both UVA and UVB radiation, covering a broad spectrum of UV wavelengths.
- Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine supplements this protection with a targeted effect against long-wave UVA rays – those that penetrate particularly deep into the skin and contribute significantly to skin aging.
- Ethylhexyl Triazone ensures stable UVB protection, while Methoxyphenylethenyl T-Butylbenzoate, as a supplementary UVA filter, completes the system.
GLYCERIN
A naturally occurring humectant that actively draws water from the environment into the skin, providing long-lasting moisture and strengthening the skin barrier – particularly valuable in sun care products, as sun and wind can severely dry out the skin, and glycerin effectively counteracts this moisture loss.
ORGANIC SUNFLOWER OIL
A light, plant-based oil that provides the skin with vitamin E and linoleic acid, strengthens the natural moisture barrier, and is quickly absorbed without leaving a greasy film.
VITAMIN E
Tocopherol (Vitamin E) is a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals caused by UV radiation, reduces oxidative stress, and thus counteracts premature skin aging – at the same time, it stabilizes the sunscreen's formula and extends its shelf life.
