BINU stands for natural, effective facial care that begins where many other products end: with gentle cleansing without any feeling of tightness. Inspired by a simple Korean natural soap bar that founders Nami and Katharina felt was missing from their own bathrooms, the idea of rethinking natural soaps in Germany was born in 2016. They realised that there were hardly any comparable, truly natural face and body soaps available – so they took matters into their own hands and founded BINU, which simply means ‘soap’ in Korean.

This vision gave rise to a small, fine manufacturer of natural soaps, which have since been produced using traditional cold process methods. BINU deliberately uses 100% natural ingredients such as fine bamboo leaf powder, activated charcoal and hinoki water – instead of synthetic surfactants, fragrances or preservatives. The result: soaps that reliably remove make-up, dirt and sebum while maintaining moisture and balance.

As a family business, BINU Beauty is deeply rooted in sustainable, socially responsible production: the factory in Damyang employs local staff fairly, and the soaps mature for weeks before being shipped in plastic-free packaging and in a climate-neutral manner. BINU soaps are cruelty-free, biodegradable and a loving combination of Korean tradition and modern skincare philosophy.
