ZINC OXIDE (NANO)
Is the mineral broadband UV filter that physically reflects both UVA and UVB radiation. The nanoparticle size reduces white residue on the skin and improves spreadability, but requires labeling.
THEOBROMA CACAO EXTRACT
Provides polyphenols and tocopherols (vitamin E), which neutralize free radicals that can arise despite UV filters. It thus acts as a second-level antioxidant protection and can slow down the premature degradation of the formulation.
GLYCERIN
Forms the moisturizing base of the formula. As a humectant, it draws moisture from the environment into the upper layers of the skin and keeps it bound there. This is particularly valuable in combination with sun protection, as UV radiation can dry out the skin - glycerin directly counteracts this effect.
GRAPE SEED EXTRACT
Saccharomyces is produced by the fermentation of grape extract with the help of yeasts (Saccharomyces). This process makes the bioactive ingredients of the grape - especially polyphenols and resveratrol - more available to the skin than in the raw extract. It has an antioxidant effect, supports skin regeneration, and completes the protective active ingredient spectrum of the formula.
BALANITES ROXBURGHII SEED OIL (ORGANIC)
Is the highest quality oil in the formula. It is rich in oleic acid and linoleic acid and thus supports the natural barrier function of the skin. Due to its high content of natural saponins, it also has a slightly anti-inflammatory effect - a sensible aspect in a sun protection product that aims to protect the skin from oxidative stress.
MARIS SAL
Sea salt provides minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and calcium, which strengthen the skin barrier and reduce inflammatory reactions. At the same time, it supports the stability of the emulsion, helps with the even distribution of the zinc oxide particles, and has a slight antimicrobial effect.
SUNFLOWER OIL
Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil is particularly rich in linoleic acid and is valued in cosmetics because it strengthens the skin's lipid barrier without being greasy. It makes the cream's texture lighter and improves its spreadability on the skin - which in turn helps ensure that the zinc oxide filter is applied evenly and its protection works optimally.
ALOE VERA
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder (Organic) contains polysaccharides that have an anti-inflammatory effect and form a fine protective film on the skin. Natural antioxidants such as vitamins C, E, and flavonoids complement the cocoa extract in scavenging free radicals.
